In my humble opinion Halloween should be thoroughly celebrated as a holiday for fun, frights and free candy. Sharing costume ideas

Group Shot - we always have fun with a few scares!

Welcome to my first blog post and it happens to be around one of my favorite times of year. I love Halloween and the color orange so I cannot help but post about it. It usually had a nice crisp fall smell from when I lived in Massachusetts but So. Cal not so much, I simply hope for 60 degrees and I would be happy. Since we had gone on our honeymoon/1 year anniversary during the month of September (more on that later) we, well I wanted to have our costumes prepared before we left. You will learn that I am a planner and a far in advance one for the most part. I tend to alternate between scary and normal on our choice of costumes with scary being the personal favorite.

Last year, my friend and I were the Grady twins from the Shining, which is a classic Stephen King horror movie based on his book. 2016, Jack (husband) and I were the scary masked couple from the Purge (original) and in 2015 we were the Blue Barracudas from the Legend of the hidden temple. With two years in a row of scary under my belt, we decided to go with fun this year and are going as Squints and Wendy Peffercorn from the Classic movie SandLot. I will show photos once we preview it at our annual Halloween party. To let everyone know it is our place, we tie a red balloon to the gutter outside our condo, that is a reference to the movie IT for all that do not know. Yes, I may have judged you a little bit if you did not know that reference ;-)
