Halloween - Date Night

Last night we went to see the new Halloween movie at our local Luxury Cinema, Cinepolis. Oh yea, we fancy huh?! It has to be the best way to see a movie, dinner, drinks and movie all in one. It was a special event marking the 40th anniversary of the release of Halloween and had special themed drinks.

Before agreeing to see any movie, I have to see what it received on Rotten Tomatoes. It received a 79% from critics to certify it fresh and that is a great rating for a scary movie.

We got there early to enjoy dinner and the themed drinks. The movie started at 8 PM. They let you in 15 minutes before the show starts.

They had an employee dressed as Jason walking around. Scared this lady sitting next to us at the bar 3 times. It was hysterical.

They also had a photobooth area setup, and employees ready to take your picture. So we took one of us kissing because that is usually when Jason gets you in the movie.

What is your favorite scary movie? I did really enjoy the movie Scream. The Shining, IT and the Sixth Sense also landed towards the top for me as well.

In preparation for the new movie, we had watched the original 1978 version and that was a great refresher but I could not help but laugh at how horrible the deaths were acted out. I can see why it was an independent film but also see how it quickly became one of the highest grossing independent films.

It was a lot of fun, and the movie was really good, definitely recommended.
