About Me

Hi, my name is Suzanne but I mostly go by Suzi. I am an Aries which is where I get my strong-willed, stubborn and competitive nature. I love my family, friends, dogs, travel, photography, sports, hiking, etc. I work in the oil and gas Industry in Sales so I travel to Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana often.

My husband, Jack, and I have the travel bug and really enjoy the outdoors. This is partially due in part to how we met in 2009 in Fiji as part of the orientation to our upcoming semester studying abroad in Sydney, Australia. I am an East Coast native, Massachusetts specifically and loved all the beauty of the seasons, family nearby, water, sports, food, etc. Then in 2010, I finished school and decided to make the move to sunny Southern California where we currently reside with our Jack Russell Terror I mean Terrier, Paxton.

Jack and I have spent the last 8 years exploring California, Utah, Florida, Massachusetts, Italy and Greece with emphasis on outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, water related activities, exploring, eating, etc.  We saved and purchased a Condo in Early 2013 and have worked to make it a home we love. Then in September 2018, we got married on Cape Cod with our closest family and friends by our side. We are extremely fortunate to have such a great family and group of friends.

I enjoy writing but I was never the journal entry type. This year, my sisters and I lost our amazing father, the worst day of our lives. Nothing can truly help with the loss of a parent but I found that when I started writing in my journal that it helped me express my emotions in addition to the support of family and friends.

This blog creation has been on my mind for sometime since then. I research a good amount (often too much if you ask Jack) before any trips, for DIY's, date nights, before any purchases, basically for everything. That research helped me find such inspiration and ideas from others. With that said, I wanted to create a space where I can share my insights, tips, tricks and fun ideas to perhaps add to your own adventure story.
