Similar to most of you, I have an Instant Pot and would like to use it more often than I do. One of my favorite time saving meals I discovered is cooking Spaghetti Squash in the Instant Pot. It is magical! You will still need the oven for this meal but not nearly long as you would need with the Squash.
I found this recipe from Tasty using a google search for Turkey Spaghetti Squash. What the recipe lacked was the directions for the cooking of the Spaghetti Squash. So I looked up how I previous did it and have added the instruction below for you.
- Halve your squash and scoop out the seeds.
- Place 1 cup of water in the Instant Pot.
- Set the trivet into the Instant Pot to keep the squash from sitting in the water.
- Drizzle olive oil and put salt and pepper on both halves of the squash.
- Place the squash in the Instant Pot, secure the lid and turn the knob to sealing.
- Select pressure cook or manual depending on what version you have. Set it to high pressure for 7 minutes.
- It takes roughly 10 minutes to get to the pressure selected and then the 7 minutes to cook.
- Once done, release the pressure with a spoon or oven Mitt until the silver button is down.
- Open the lid and take out the squash.
- Proceed to shred the squash with a fork.
Doing it this way cuts your cook time from 40-45 minutes in the oven to 17 minutes in the Instant Pot.
Link below for the recipe, the only modification I added was Spinach as we needed to use it and I used orange bell pepper instead of.

This could also be good as a "boat" also. A few different variations you could do with different protein or different cheese, etc. I prefer this one as a healthier alternative than Ground beef.
I hope you enjoy it, leave any comments or questions below.
